Network Simulators

You would think that Computer Science researchers would develop the simplest, most effective software around for each other to use, test their ideas, and advance the industry as quickly as possible. Not the case. Simulators and support infrastructure is developed hastily and haphazardly with little concern for ease, extensibility, or maintenance. In short, we aren't software engineers, or at least the tight funding opportunities and rapidly approaching deadlines stress us all to quick and dirty design tactics. Consequently, I'm left to muddle through the relatively complicated design of this simulator, for which little to no documentation is provided.
